About Me

Jesus Quintana is a sophomore from Rockville, MD studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland. He is an aspiring artistic freelancer looking to involve himself in the art and aeronautical industries. His hobbies include playing piano, video editing, watching movies/shows, listening to music, and much more. He is also involved with everything STEM including being a joint leader for his high school’s STEM team. He is also very big on traveling and enjoys the journey more than the destination. He wants to obtain his flying license and fully immerse himself in the air travel industry, including working/flying for companies such as Boeing. Although his mind is set on STEM, his heart is set on art. After graduating with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, he plans on pursuing any artistic endeavors he embarks on while traveling worldwide, expressing himself to the masses.

As a College Park Scholar, Jesus wishes to engage with his community and express himself through various artistic mediums. He is currently taking courses in fiction and storytelling, working toward writing his own theatrical script and short film, a potential initiative for his Capstone project. These goals would require him to meet all kinds of people that can help him achieve his intended idea, something he is willing to pursue and achieve. He hopes to learn from already existing works of art, including many plays and theatrical performances. It has always been a part of his nature to be as creative as possible, and he has always enjoyed the design process of creation itself. He hopes to one day see his hard work pay off in the form of engaging theatrical performances.
